(Contract Position)

Experienced Bookkeeper needed for Illawarra business that provides professional Bookkeeping services locally and also Australia wide (using remote technology).

We are accounting software specialists and our clients are SME’s who use Reckon Accounts, QuickBooks, XERO and MYOB.

The role is for an experienced bookkeeper who has worked with one or more of the following SME Accounting Software packages:

  •  Reckon Accounts or Reckon ONE
  •  QuickBooks Online
  •  XERO
  •  MYOB AccountRight or Essentials
  •  Microsoft Financials 365

We require someone who is or has the potential to be a 5 star employee. You will be tested in one of the above Accounting Software programs (of your choice) so you will need to be know your stuff in at least one program to pass this testing process.

On-going training and support will be provided and your work will include:

  •  Bookkeeping in any of the SME Accounting Software products
    • Reckon Accounts or ONE
    • QuickBooks Online
    • XERO
    • MYOB Account Right or Essentials
  •  Payroll
  •  Creating Procedures manual for new clients
  • Keeping Procedures manual in existing clients up to date

Your work may be done:

  •  on site with clients (so you will need a car)
  •  at our office in Tullimbar
  •  from your home

Great English and communication skills are necessary (including spelling, grammar and pronunciation) as you will be regularly dealing with clients by phone and email as well as face to face. For the same reason you must be friendly and able to interact and get on with a mix of personality types.

Accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to be able to keep to a deadline is a prerequisite for this role.

Working with technology and “The Cloud” is a day to day part of what we do, so you need to love and be very savvy when it comes to using apps, cloud products, business software and technology generally.

You will be expected to use checklists and follow detailed procedures for much of your work, so if you are someone that just likes to do your own thing and thinks procedures are a waste of time then this job will not suit you.

This is an Independent Contracting position. Applicants must have or be willing to get an ABN.
